Maya

Maya has a variety of curls from tight to loose and from fine to thick making it challenging to style. Maya is very active and length helps style management making it easier to sweep her hair up in a pony tail for dance and exercise. She is able to control frizz using Curl Keeper. Detangling is important for Maya in order to get out tangles and knots in the hair as well as loose hair.

Tip – Grouping curls together that are different in tightness and thickness in order to create a uniform curl is a technique that may need practice but will enable you to have total control on a consistent basis.

Abigail

Lots of Conditioner was used to detangle the dry ends of Abigail’s hair. Silk Leave-in Conditioner was applied with Curl Keeper™ and her hair was left to dry. To soften and add bounce, a diffuser was used to finalize the drying process while adding bounce to the hair. Her active lifestyle requires her to wear her hair in a ponytail most of the time. By using Silk Leave-in Conditioner on a regular basis, Abigail’s hair will keep its strength even in a ponytail. Using a cloth covered elastic band to hold her ponytail will protect the hair from breakage.

Theresa

In order for Theresa to grow her hair longer she first needed to have some basic face framing done to her bangs. This kept her style in fashion and will allow her to wear her curls looser giving the impression that her hair is longer. In order to achieve this I used larger sections of hair when using my Skip Curl technique. Highlights were added to define the individual ringlets and break up the bulk. Darker tones were used to create shine and a healthy glow that eliminated the appearance of frizz. Theresa is tall and can carry long hair well.

Geri

This is a great fun look when you want to have short hair and not cut out all your curls. An angled cut was used to add body on the top and we allowed some of the looser curls to fall in order to add softness to her look. Starting with Treatment Shampoo and Conditioner her hair’s natural condition was greatly improved. We only used Curl Keeper™ to control the frizz and some Gel to keep the hair in place. Geri loves her new look!

Maureen

Maureen has extremely frizzy hair. Her hair has never been chemically treated. This type of hair repels moisture and usually requires greater effort to allow products to penetrate the hair. Once we thoroughly deposited Curl Keeper™ through her hair we were able to apply Silk Leave-in Conditioner to soften the feel of the most stubborn sections. Regular use of Silk Shampoo will keep the moisture in Maureen's hair. Occasionally, Pure Silk Protein can be used to give her hair an immediate moisture fix when necessary. To get perfect ringlets, I used my Skip Curl technique. To finish, the hair was left to air dry. Now that Maureen's hair is healthier, she doesn't have to be afraid to experiment with highlights or other chemical treatments.

Mary Jo has relatively healthy hair already, so we applied generous amounts of Curl Keeper™ by bending her head over and squishing it through the hair from roots to tips. We added Gel for additional hold. To dry Mary Jo’s hair we started with a diffuser to build some volume at the roots but let the rest dry naturally.

I applied Curl Keeper™ all over her hair and used a touch of Silk Leave-in Conditioner on the frizzy tips. I finished up with my Skip Curl technique and let her hair air dry. After using the Skip Curl technique to create perfect separated ringlets, we let the hair dry naturally so that the curls would be full and bouncy! Just what she ordered.
